I work near your Englishtown, NJ store and stop there every day (sometimes 2 or 3 times a day). Sally, the manager, and her ENTIRE crew, from the gas guys to everyone inside are awesome! They are always friendly, helpful, kind and extremely patient. Since I am there so frequently, I’ve seen them all disarm the occasional cranky person, especially in the morning. Sally always greets me and makes me feel like I’m part of the family. The store is always immaculately clean.

The gas guys outside are tremendous, and deal with a lot of traffic issues in the morning. They are always very professional, while still being friendly and helpful. One of the best parts of my job is that I get to work near this QuickChek. It’s my favorite place to shop. Awesome people, awesome store, and awesome attitude. My 17-year-old daughter and I were on our way to Rutgers to watch a softball game. It was a busy morning and we hadn’t eaten lunch yet (we were ravenous!). We saw a QuickChek and decided that would be the best place to grab lunch. When we entered the building, my daughter noticed a device hanging from the ceiling behind the cash registers. When we returned to the register with our lunch items, my daughter pointed to the device and asked the clerk about it. The clerk replied “That’s for our buddy and co-worker. He’s a paraplegic and it helps him get back and forth to efficiently help the customers. It’s a cool device.” My daughter and I made eye contact, but said nothing. As we exited the store she said: “Mom, that would have been awesome for Uncle Kevin.” My brother, Kevin became a paraplegic due to a car accident. He was the most amazing person in the world! After his accident, he faced many physical challenges due to his disability. At your store, we witnessed a workplace that made accommodations for employees with disabilities. I applaud QuickChek for understanding the worth of individuals who may not be mechanically the same as the majority of the population. By installing such a device, you allow this person to have opportunities that may not have been afforded him due to his challenges. Thank you for your compassion in recognizing the value in all people. By making innovative adjustments to your workplace, you have shown me that QuickChek is not only a great place to shop, it’s the store with a heart. – Wendy

My husband and I LOVE QuickChek coffee! Every morning he stops at your store to get coffee on his way to work. His favorite flavor is Pecan Sticky Bun. One morning he was dismayed to discover that you’d discontinued this flavor. He tried to find a similar product in other stores and on the Internet, but couldn’t find any coffee that matched the flavor. In a last-ditch effort, he emailed QuickChek to see if you would sell him some of this coffee. Senior Catagory Manager Mandy kindly let him know that she did not have any left to sell him. But a few days later, we received another email from Mandy letting him know that she hadn’t forgotten his request. She had spoken with the QuickChek Coffee Roaster, and he had a few remaining bags of the Pecan Sticky Bun Coffee. She requested our mailing address and sent us the coffee free of charge. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help my coffee-crazed husband! We still love all your coffee! – Janet & Jason

I was having a really bad day last week, compounded by leaving work late and forgetting my wallet. I needed gas and a few items at the store. All I had was a credit card (which hadn’t worked properly at another store). When I stopped at your Jefferson, NJ store, it was late and your gas attendant was really busy. When he came over to my car, you would have thought I was the only person there. He was patient, courteous and so helpful. He tried his best but wasn’t able to get the credit card to work. He suggested I speak with the manager. The manager listened patiently and then thought of a great solution. He walked me back outside, coached the attendant on the transaction, and it worked! Both of these guys were so friendly and helpful during a stressful situation. It is obvious how well this entire QC team works as a cohesive unit. There was mutual respect and genuine courtesy. I love the Washington Ave. store in Kingston because Denise always decorates it nicely and stops whatever she is doing to say hello and ask about my day. Becky is kindest young lady, forever smiling and positive. One time she said I looked stunning. It’s people like that who make me want to visit QuickChek. One night after work I was desperate for coffee so I stopped at the Saugerties store on 9W. I saw Travis from Kingston who instantly came over to say hello. He informed me he had been moved to that store. I have since been back on a regular basis and will continue to shop there. One recent snowy day, I was driving and realized that one of my tires needed air. I stopped and requested assistance at three local gas stations, and none of them would offer help. When I pulled into your Eatontown, NJ store, Kyshon was more than happy to assist me. It was very cold, and it was snowing heavily, but he was so courteous and friendly! I realized that he was a former student of mine! It was so great to see what a wonderful young man he grew to be. He went above and beyond to help. I am extremely impressed with all the employees at this store. Kyshon is an example of the caliber of people QuickChek hires, and further evidence of how well they are trained to take care of their customers. What a wonderful experience I had in your Matawan, NJ store!  Aaron went above and beyond in delivering a quality job during my visit to the gas pumps.  He did an awesome job cleaning my car windows while pumping gas – all on a freezing cold day!!  I work in the hospitality industry – so I understand the value of quality customer service, and know it when I see it! Way to Go! Store #43

When visiting your Wantage, NJ store for my morning coffee, I unintentionally threw out a bag that contained my two prescription medications.  That evening, I realized what I had done and went back to the store hoping to find the medications. The garbage had already been collected but was still in the dumpster.   I was kindly directed to speak with the gas attendants outside.  When I explained my situation, Kevin immediately sprang into action to help!  He proceeded to climb into the dumpster (in below zero temperatures) and helped sift through the bags of garbage.  He stayed with me until we finally found my medication. He helped me clean up and never expected anything in return. He was so understanding and incredibly eager to help!  I am a manager who deals with hundreds of employees, vendors and customers. I can tell you that his level of service was amazing.   He went above and beyond what most employees would have done.  I want to congratulate him for his selfless act.  – Sincerely, Paul

Way to Go Store #43!

On 2/19/15 I went to your Wantage NJ store for my morning coffee. I unintentionally threw away a small paper bag containing two prescription medications I just got from my doctor. That evening, I realized what I had done and went back to the store hoping to find the medications. The garbage had already been collected but was still in the dumpster. After speaking with several girls in the store who were very kind, I was directed to the gas attendants outside. As I approached them, I mentioned my situation and without hesitation, Kevin immediately came to my assistance and took me to the dumpster. He proceeded to get into the dumpster in below zero temperatures and helped sift through the bags of garbage, pulling what he thought were outside bags. He stayed with me as I went through several bags to finally find my medication. He helped me clean up and never expected anything in return. He was amazing, selfless and I just wanted management to know what he did. As a manager who deals with hundreds of employees, vendors and customers, I can tell you that he is an exception. Most people would not have gone as far as he did to help a stranger. I hope Quick-Chek will find a way to recognize Kevin and congratulate him for his selfless act. Sincerely, Paul V.

I want to acknowledge a very kind corporate policy. I stopped at my location QuickChek (RT57, Washington Township) this cold morning for coffee and gas. I wanted to buy coffee for the 2 gas attendants. They are always friendly, helpful and smiling even on this cold morning. I was told there was no need to buy coffee for them, they get free coffee whenever the temp goes below 20 degrees. Well done QuickChek! I am happy to be a loyal customer when I know you treat your employees in a fair and kind manner. – Diane

Your staff at the Garwood, NJ store is the best staff I have ever seen. I am a Garwood resident for 20 years and this is the best staff I have seen in all my years of going to QuickChek. Please keep this staff as long as possible. I have seen crew members come and go but these great people need to stay.

I received a call from customer Dee. She wanted to recognize the whole team at the store. She visits the store about three times a week and everyone is so sweet and look so happy all the time! She had some confusion on how to use the computer to order her sandwich and someone helped walk her through the process.

Way to Go Store #126!

My mother and I are QuickChek people. We love your Wallkill store and here is a great example of why. With the recent snowstorms my mom, who is 78, tends to be more careful about going out. The other day with all that snow the manager Laurie went way out of her way for her. She not only helped her back to her car, but loaded the car, and told her: “Please call me next time. I would be more than happy to bring the stuff to you, rather than you coming out in bad weather.” I thought that was absolutely incredible! The people there are always friendly and willing to help. They always seem very happy, content, smiling and doing their best to get us in and out. The one thing that really sets this store apart is the Manager. She is always working, and helps out with every part of the store. I rarely see that at any other QuickChek. Thank you for being here and having such great people working for you. Way to Go Store #77!

A very happy customer wanted to let us know that Kevin and Anthony provided excellent customer service. He stopped to get gas last night and it was bitter cold and very windy. They were out there with snow brushes wiping customers headlights, license plates, windshields and other areas were snow/ice collected to help customers see better. Not only were they doing this but they were very upbeat and happy! Way to Go Kevin and Anthony!!
