This past Sunday, the town of Clinton held it’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. A long-standing tradition in the town is the parade after-party hosted by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick (FSSP). The FSSP is a non-profit group of Irish-Americans that seek to promote and preserve Irish-American culture while serving their community through scholarships, volunteerism, and charitable donations to local families in need.
Each year, after the parade, the ticketed after-party draws in between 300-400 guests and helps the group raise funds to continue their charitable activities. This year’s event was held at the Red Mill in town from 4pm – 7pm. Brian DaSilva, Store Leader of store #48 in Clinton, along with members of his team (plus their honorary Team Members, District Leader Jon Durling and Finance Team Member Bryan Sweney) spent the afternoon and evening hours appeasing the masses, both Irish and American alike, by keeping the beer and wine flowing. By the time the after-party was over, all that was left were fifteen empty kegs and a ton of satisfied attendees!
Store #48 also donated a Guinness hockey jersey to be raffled off and the lucky winner was Karl from High Bridge, NJ. Congratulations, Karl! Way to Go to the team of store #48 (and Jon and Bryan) for supporting your local non-profit groups and your local community!
