QuickChek recently received a letter from the Pulaski Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary from Pine Island, New York. This letter was sent in recognition of the kindness and service from the QuickChek team in store #109 in Florida, NY. Read below to find out what they did that WOWed our customers.
To Whom It May Concern:
The Pulaski Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary would like to thank the very special employees of the QuickChek in Florida, NY.
On the morning of Saturday, January 6, 2018, in barely zero degree weather, the firefighters of the Pine Island Fire Department in Pine Island, NY were called to the scene of a house on fire in Pine Island. With the help of surrounding fire departments, they worked for hours putting the fire out and ensuring all residents of the home were safe.
Members of the Pulaski Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary needed to get warm food and drinks to the firefighters. With it being approximately 7am, not many local delis were open with enough employees to help prepare food. We turned to QuickChek for help.
Not only did the employees of QuickChek make 80 breakfast sandwiches as fast as they could, the manager quickly decided to donate half of the sandwiches along with two boxes of coffee and a good amount of milk, sugar, and cream.
We would like to thank QuickChek for helping us help the firefighters of the Pine Island Fire Department on that frigid morning. When our community’s first responders needed nourishment, you were there. Thank you for helping your community in such a wonderful way.
