Each year, the QuickChek Family Fund Committee organizes and event to raise money for QuickChek families in need. This event usually occurs on the Support Center lawn and usually takes the shape of a mini-golf challenge or some variety of games. With this year’s change to the layout and the increased square footage of the parking lot, a majority of our lawn space has been removed. So, our team needed to get creative.
The Family Fund Committee teamed up with the Store Engineering group and our first ever Cornhole Tournament born. Through a lot of coordination and effort, the 2020 Family Fund Cornhole Tournament was held on October 15th in the back parking lot of the Support Center. In addition to our many cornhole pairs ready to play, we had a dj, food trucks, and plenty of snacks and raffle items to go around.
In the end, the event was a fun escape from the current COVID pandemic and all of our players had a great time – regardless of their place in the overall rankings. This event was a HUGE SUCCESS for QuickChek and the Family Fund and, thanks to the generosity of our vendors and players, we were able to raise a grand total $43,415.
