On Saturday, January 30th, our Lake Grove, NY store celebrated their one-year anniversary. And what better way to celebrate than by giving back to the community that supports us?
The Lake Grove celebration featured a sub-making contest, where volunteer firefighters from the Centereach Fire Department competed to see how many fully-loaded, six-inch QuickChek Original Italian subs they could make in ten minutes – and accomplished building 58 subs! Additional activities included a cookie eating contest, a potato chip stacking contest and a candy filling contest. All winning participants received QuickChek gift cards.
The party was visited by important QC supporters including U.S. Congressman Lee Zeldin, Assemblyman Mike Fitzpatrick, Councilman Kevin LaValle and Lake Grove Trustee Richard Kick.
In celebration, we also donated $2,536 to Hope for the Warriors. Over the past seven months, we’ve raised $136,536 for this important organization through a variety of in-store promotions. Thanks for all you do to help us support this worthwhile organization – and congratulations, Lake Grove!
