QuickChek was a welcomed presence at the 8th Annual Long Island Run for the Warriors on Saturday, November 7th in Lindenhurst, NY.
The event kicked off with a pre-race dinner, where bagpipes serenaded those fueling up for the next day’s run! Warm November weather made for perfect conditions as over 3,000 runners gathered to join in the 10k, 5k, or the 1-Mile fun-run, all dedicated to the Veterans wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, and families of the fallen.
QC hosted a booth bursting with chocolate chip cookies and bottles of QC water. We also held a Candy Guessing Contest, using a container filled with green M&M’s. Three winners each received $10 gift cards for being the closest to the actual number.
We’re delighted to be part of a celebration of our Veterans’ strength, resolve and a promise to continue restoring self, family and hope.
