Many of you may have already heard about the recent agreement QuickChek has entered into with CVS regarding our pharmacy business. Beginning the week of November 27th, after 38 ½ years in the pharmacy business, nine of our pharmacy locations inside of our stores will be closing and the prescriptions will be transferred to local CVS locations. Our 10th pharmacy location inside of store #33, in Washington, will remain open until December when the whole store will close its doors and be converted into a CVS location. This decision, although difficult, has been made to help us better direct our future focus to our fresh food and quality fuel offerings so that we may continue to grow and enhance our business
Our pharmacy teams are being given the opportunity to interview with and transition to local CVS locations if they choose to remain in the pharmacy industry. We would like to thank each and every one of them for their years of dedicated service and hard work not only for us but to our customers, as well. We would also like to extend a very sincere and grateful thank you to Mike Wunder who has been a part of our company for the last 34 years. He has been an integral part and leader of our pharmacy business for many of those years. Thank you for your leadership and guidance!
