This month is National Food Safety Month and each week focuses in on a different aspect of food safety. This week’s focus is time and temperature control.
Time and temperature control is crucial to reduce pathogens in our food and taking temperatures is vital to ensuring our food safety culture. Some important tips to remember are:
- Training is critical. Be sure you and your fellow Team Members are properly trained on food safety procedures and retrain, when necessary.
- Model correct behaviors.
- Give positive reinforcement.
