QuickChek Raises Funds For Bridging The Gap At Annual Golf Outing

QuickChek recently raised more than $45,000 for Bridging the Gap  through our annual Golf Outing, held at Beaver Brooke Country Club. The outing hosted 121 golfers, bringing together 102 vendors, 15 QuickChek Team Members and three Murphy USA representatives for a day of teeing off, dodging cicadas and raising money for a good cause.

Bridging the Gap is a New Jersey based non-profit organization led by military veterans who provide career transition assistance to veterans and their families. The organization, which QuickChek also supported at last year’s Golf Outing, was able to utilize the funds from last year’s event to launch their career academy, enabling participants to engage with career coaches to prepare for the career transition lifecycle. QuickChek has also hired veterans as Team Members through Bridging the Gap.

The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our vendors, colleagues or the staff at Beaver Brook Country Club. Special thanks to Finance/Accounting Manager Chuck Boyer, who founded the outing over 20 years ago, and our Security Department Leader Lou Linares, who planned the event for the third year in a row. Thank you to the following volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make this day a great one:

Amy DaSilva, Brian DaSilva, Carly Ducey, Flip Amato, Heather Stillman, John Brower, Ken Greener, Laura Gramling, Matt Burton, Rachel Politte, Samantha Wisol and Tracy Alexander.
