Joanne Jones, Service Beverage Manager in store #126 in Wallkill, NY, was surprised earlier this week when members of the Sales & Marketing Team showed up with Joseph Apuzzo, Jr., President & CEO of Regal Commodities, our coffee vendor. Joanne was selected as our very first Service Beverage Manager of the Corporation for Q1. The team arrived with pizza in hand and a very special gift for Joanne, on behalf of Regal Commodities, for all of her hard work and dedication to her category and to ensuring each coffee customer has an amazing experience!
Joanne has been the Service Beverage Manager in store #126 since 2017 and it is safe to say that she has a true passion for coffee! We can’t go as far as saying it’s her #1 love – that’s a toss up with Jon Bon Jovi – but she certainly puts a whole lot of love into everything she does!
Joanne has gone above and beyond and shown great initiative in a variety of ways to increase sales and promote her Service Beverage Category in her store. Some of the fun, special things that Joanne has done include her “Cup of Joe with Jo” event on National Coffee Day, her “Black Friday Coffee Rush” where she raffled off coffee mugs, mad libs games for customers to guess new coffee flavors, and putting together gift baskets for Christmas. Throughout the year, she has various raffles and sampling events to entice and engage customers and she even had a visit from Santa this past year. Her most recent feature is how she so craftily and uniquely transformed her Service Beverage Area into a Tiki Hut to bring a little bit of Caribbean Paradise to Wallkill in the midst of our cold winter.
Throughout the year, Joanne runs special promotions and contests and many of our new flavor ideas come from her contests and customer feedback. Congratulations, Joanne, and Way to Go for bringing such passion and dedication to your craft!
